The Marshal Accolade

Marshal AccoladeSince the introduction of Going Rogue, I found myself experiencing a renewed interest in working with my villain characters. As a villain, playing this new NCsoft game release, I can choose to go anywhere between City of Heroes and City of Villains as long as I accumulate 10 Rogue alignment missions and complete 1 Rogue morality mission.

Needless to say, all this red side activity has pushed me into a frenzy of gathering badges for my villain accolades and hopefully will stimulate additional activity for me to play on the blue side with my Necromancy Mastermind.

The Hunt

I decided to go after the Marshal Accolade because other than the Annihilator badge, every other badge required would be fairly easy to retrieve. Since the Marshal Accolade grants a permanent increase to my max endurance by 5% — and all Masterminds love endurance — this was my main incentive to get working on it right away.

This accolade requires the following 6 badges:

1. Arachnos Rising:
Read the following History plaques at each location listed below to earn this badge.

* [2] Sharkhead Isle: (762.9, 32, -374)
* [1] St. Martial: (457, 34, 1233)
* [3] Warburg: (-1038, 99.5, -822)
* [1] Grandville: (1729.5, -459, 1514.5)
* [2] Grandville: (2766, -340, 793)

Arachnos Rising Sharkhead Isle History Plaque

I traveled 245 yards northwest from the Sharkhead Isle base portal to locate this plaque. You will find it sitting in the nook of a tall building sporting a billboard.

Arachnos Rising St. Martial History Plaque

I traveled 440 yards north and slightly west from the Rogue Isles Ferry to locate this plaque. You will find it hanging on a wall that runs along the road directly across the street from the Natural Quartermaster in St. Martial.

Arachnos Rising Warburg History Plaque

I traveled 675 yards southeast from the Arachnos flier to St. Martial to locate this plaque. You will find it sitting at the base of a tall red and white radio tower.

Arachnos Rising Grandville History Plaque 1

I traveled 850 yards due north from the Rogue Isles Ferry to locate this plaque. It’s located on the backside of the large tower in Spider City, which is directly behind the Lord Recluse statue, hanging on the wall in between too large windows.

Arachnos Rising Grandville History Plaque 2

I traveled 54 yards northeast from the East Ward 1 Lift in Grandville to locate this plaque. You will find it sitting at the base of a stone wall situated between a pair of stone steps.

2. Annihilator:
Defeat the future Freedom Phalanx during Lord Recluse’s Strike Force.
Mission Contact: Lord Recluse (Grandville)
Level 45-50

3. Paragon of Vice:
Complete the “Defeat all Arachnos Personnel” mission from Willy Wheeler.
Mission Contact: Willy Wheeler (Cap au Diable)
Level: 15-19

What if your character is over level 19?

Run the “There’s a Sucker Born Every Minute” flashback content in Ouroboros. Not only will you acquire the badge but you’ll also earn 17 merits if you finish the entire story arc.

4. The Mongoose:
Defeat 50 snakes.

I found more than enough snakes located 200 yards off of Fort Darwin (Kalinda stands here), around Darwin’s Landing of Mercy Island. You can also find snakes in Port Oakes or Nerva Archipelago if you prefer to hunt elsewhere.

5. The Next Big Thing:
Find the following exploration badge at the location listed below to earn this badge.

* [5] Mercy Island: (-1215, 239, -153)

The Next Big Thing Badge Marker

This explorer badge is located directly in between Arbiter Richard and the lifts which lead to Mongoose in Mercy Island.

6. Weapon of Mass Destruction:
Find the following exploration badge at the location listed below to earn this badge.

* [1] Warburg: (-768, 144, 0)

Weapon of Mass Destruction Badge Marker

You’ll find this explorer badge in the center of the highest support beam encasing the missile.

Final Thoughts

The only badge listed above that would require help from other team players, is the Annihilator badge, which you can acquire by successfully defeating the future Freedom Phalanx during Lord Recluse’s Strike Force. While you’re not required to finish the Strike Force to earn the badge, you do need to complete the mission from the Strike Force that awards it.

Happy Hunting!
